Start small. Keep the number honest. Let the widget do the reminding.
Set up a goal
Enter current assets, a target and a common currency. Approximate amounts are fine. The optional target helper uses annual spending divided by a withdrawal-rate assumption; applying it only fills the draft until you save.
Why isn't progress changing?
Recorded progress changes only when you confirm a new amount. Add a monthly or yearly accumulation plan if you want estimates, then choose estimated progress or estimated time remaining in the widget's configuration. Estimates do not include returns or inflation.
Add or change a widget
Use the system widget gallery and search for FIRE. Choose a size, then edit that widget to select a style or content. Setting the app default does not override a widget with its own style. The system schedules refreshes; changes may not appear immediately.
Sync and Apple Watch
iCloud sync is off by default. Enable it on each device using the same Apple Account, then open FIRE or refresh to sync. Apple Watch uses a snapshot sent explicitly from the iPhone; it is not a live balance feed.
Privacy on screen
FIRE does not have a manual hide-details switch or app lock. Information may remain visible in the app, screenshots and app-switcher previews. Widgets still respect the system’s privacy-redaction requests.
Support purchases
All functions stay free. Coffee tips are consumable and not restorable. The supporter badge is a one-time purchase; use Restore on the support screen with the same Apple Account. Prices come from the App Store. Contact us if a verified badge does not appear.
